Decorative & Venetian Plastering

Few finishes change a room like polished Venetian plaster, and this gallery shows the decorative work our plasterers carry out across Essex. Each surface is built up by hand in fine layers of lime-based plaster, then compressed and burnished with the trowel until it takes on the depth, sheen and movement of natural stone.

Preparation is where the quality is won. Walls are made flat, stable and correctly primed before any decorative coat goes on. Depending on the design we work in marble-effect, marmorino and travertine-style textures, pigment the plaster to suit the room's palette, and seal the finished surface with waxes or protective coatings chosen for the space, including bathrooms and splash zones.
